THE FUTURE OF NATURAL-BASED SKIN CARE

THE FUTURE OF NATURAL-BASED SKIN CARE

In 2020, we celebrate 35 years of Jurlique; 35 years of using powerful botanicals, sustainable farming methods and exclusive extraction methods to create our unique natural-based skin care. The Jurlique JourneyThe year: 1985The dream: to find an unpolluted environment to grow Nature’s herbs and flowers and use them to create the purest skin care possible. The place: South Australia’s Adelaide Hills, chosen by our founders Jurgen and Ulrike Klein as the purest place on earth – still home to the Jurlique Farm and Natural Beauty Plant, where our products are made, to this day."We chose the Adelaide Hills because it had the perfect climate and the land was unpolluted." Ulrike Klein, Jurlique Co-Founder.With Jurgen’s background as a scientist and naturopath, and Ulrike’s expertise as a botanist and horticulturalist, the couple combined their names and knowledge to create Jurlique. It was this, along with their personal philosophy – commitment, without compromise, to create natural products that enrich people’s lives – that paved the way for Jurlique. Some of our most powerful ingredients are grown on our farm in South Australia's Adelaide Hills. Our founders selected this region for its pure, unpolluted air and nutrient-rich soil, which we continue to nurture and respect. For 35 years, we've grown botanicals here using biodynamic* farming methods that care for our farm as an integrated, living organism. We don't use synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers, ensuring that nothing harmful goes into our Earth. Everything we do supports the health and vitality of our farm and contributes to the vigorous ecosystem of the hills.Sustainability at JurliqueSustainability has always been fundamental to everything we do here. From our biodynamic* farm and clean energy Natural Beauty Plant in the Adelaide Hills, to our commitment to reducing our carbon cycle and looking after our people, sustainability is at the core of Jurlique. We’ve come a long way since Jurlique was established in 1985 – from a small skin care brand in the Adelaide Hills, to one with a global presence. But much remains the same. Our commitment to sustainability is as strong as it was on day one, and this commitment only continues to grow.Through using rain and recycled water, we've reduced our usage by 25% since 2015Our biodynamic* farm is free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fertilisersWe've planted 12,000 trees since 2012Our farm has sent zero waste to landfill since 2016In partnership with TerraCycle, all our packaging can be recycledWe keep bees to pollinate and propagate the plants and flowers on our farmThe futureThe Jurlique brand has evolved in many ways since we began 35 years ago – but our founding spirit is more alive than ever. HOW TO INSTANTLY SOOTHE SENSITIVE SKIN

HOW TO INSTANTLY SOOTHE SENSITIVE SKIN

When your favourite skin care brand release a new skin care product or range, are you Type A and purchase the product right away and slather it all over? Or are you Type B and hesitant to purchase because it might exacerbate a skin concern you’ve worked hard to get under control? If you’re Type B, you most likely have sensitive skin. Whether you’re dealing with redness, irritation, or uneven skin tone, ongoing skin sensitivity can be challenging to deal with.At Jurlique, we believe in not only treating the symptoms of sensitivity, but also addressing the underlying causes and solving them through a combination of natural ingredients and a consistent skin care ritual. Read on for our top 3 tips for caring for sensitive skin and recommended skin care products for sensitive skin.1. Choose the right ingredientsNo matter what skin type you have, it’s a good idea to avoid synthetic chemical ingredients in your everyday skin care ritual. However, it’s especially important to have natural-based skin care for sensitive skin, as it may react poorly to many synthetic ingredients.Instead, opt for naturally derived ingredients that nourish and calm your skin, rather than aggravating it further. Ingredients to gravitate toward include:Calendula Flower Extract, has pronounced soothing properties and has been used to rebalance sensitivity on the skin and throughout the body.Chamomile Flower Extract, which carries calming and hydrating benefits. A great natural ingredient for both dry and combination sensitive skin types.Echinacea Extract is an astringent herb that offers soothing properties and can help balance the skinJurlique Rose extract, which can only be exclusively found in some Jurlique products, is scientifically proven to enhance the skin’s barrier function and help it retain essential moisture. You can find all of these ingredients in our Calendula Redness Rescue and Moisture Plus Rare Rose.2. Be gentle with you skinLet every action you make upon your skin be gentle and soft. While choosing the right products plays a part in managing sensitive skin, your skin care application techniques are equally important.Avoid any actions that tug your skin as this can make irritation worse. Here’s what that looks like in practice:If you wear makeup, instead of removing it with a makeup wipe, use a cleansing oil in gentle circular motion. When you follow up with a gentle cleanser, use those same delicate motions.During your moisturiser, serum or face oil step – pat and press the product in instead of rubbing. When you have sensitive skin, physical exfoliation can be intimidating, and you’d be right to proceed with caution. A lot of physical exfoliators are abrasive and can do more harm than good. Look for something non-abrasive like our Daily Exfoliating Cream – you apply it to your skin in a press-release motion (so no rough rubbing) and it gently lifts and removes dead skin and impurities.3. Keep it coolFor soothing sensitive skin, consider keeping your skincare products in the fridge until it’s time to apply them.Apart from the instant refreshing hit, there’s anecdotal evidence that the cooler temperature causes blood vessels to contract, immediately reducing the appearance of redness.Skin sensitivity is a challenge, but with the right skin care products and techniques, it can be managed. To soothe and protect your skin, shop our Calendula Redness Rescue range online now.Need more guidance? We’ve got quite the selection! IS YOUR CLEANSER CAUSING YOUR BREAKOUTS?

IS YOUR CLEANSER CAUSING YOUR BREAKOUTS?

Have you been experiencing unexplained breakouts recently? It might be due to the stress of the pandemic, lockdown and maskne (yes, it’s a real thing), but it might be something as simple as the cleanser you’re using. In fact, a lot of people breakout after using a new cleanser, which seems like an oxymoron…aren’t they supposed to clean your skin? Well, yes, but if you’re not using one that’s well-suited to your skin type, cleansers can cause a skin pH imbalance which results in irritation and can cause sudden breakouts. The best way to avoid it is to choose the best cleanser for your skin type and skin concerns. How can cleanser cause breakouts?A cleanser that is too harsh for your skin type can cause breakouts by disrupting the skin’s natural protective moisture barrier and stripping away essential oils and moisture. This can leave skin feeling dry, tight and vulnerable to oil imbalances, which can lead to breakouts. Your skin’s protective moisture barrier also prevents bacterial growth that can cause blemishes, so if it’s disrupted, that bacteria can flourish. The wrong cleanser can also disrupt the naturally acidic pH of your skin, making it more vulnerable to infection and damage. What cleanser should I use?So, it’s important to choose the right cleanser for radiant, healthy-looking skin. Pick a cleanser that suits your skin type and concern to start your skin care ritual off right (we recommend you use our Nourishing Cleansing Oil first and do a double cleanse at night to get rid of dirt and impurities):For dry, dehydrated skin: Our Replenishing Cleansing Lotion uses Marshmallow Root extract, Calendula Flower extract, and Shea butter to gently and deeply cleanse dry and sensitive skin while restoring moisture and soothing irritation. For oily skin: Thanks to Rosemary Leaf and Spilanthes extracts, our Revitalising Cleansing Gel refreshes skin and controls excess oil production and shine. For mature skin: Fight fine lines and other signs of ageing with our Nutri-Define Supreme Cleansing Foam, which uses Jojoba beads, Spilanthes and Horseradish extracts, and our signature Biosome6 blend to gently whisk away dead skin and smooth wrinkles. For combination skin: Reveal fresh, glowing skin with our Radiant Skin Foaming Cleanser, which harnesses the power of Calendula Flower, Willow Bark, and our exclusive Jurlique Rose extracts to remove impurities, unclog pores, and balance oil production.Choosing the right cleanser can protect your skin and ensure it stays radiant and blemish-free. WHAT IS COLLAGEN AND WHAT ARE ITS BENEFITS?

WHAT IS COLLAGEN AND WHAT ARE ITS BENEFITS?

Collagen is a word that’s often associated with the holy grail of youthful-looking skin. It can be found in powders, pills and liquid supplements, all with the promise of keeping your skin looking and feeling its best. We’ve all heard of it and no doubt dropped it into conversation…but what is it, what does collagen do and more importantly, do we actually need it? We break down everything you need to know about this beauty buzzword. What is collagen?Collagen is the most common protein that’s found in the body. The word comes from the Greek word kólla which means glue and that’s essentially what collagen is: the ‘glue’ that holds our bones, skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments together. There are at least 28 different types of collagen found around the body. What are the benefits of collagen for skin? The type of collagen that helps us to look youthful is found in the middle layer of the skin. Together with elastin, it strengthens the skin and promotes elasticity, helping it look and feel plump, and prevent it from sagging. Collagen can also reduce dryness in the skin, helping it stay hydrated and give it that glow we all covet. At what age do we start losing collagen? As we reach the age of 20, our bodies start to produce less and less, and collagen is broken down faster than you can make it. In fact, by the time we’ve reached our 40s, we’ve lost approximately 30 per cent of our collagen supply, which is partly the reason we see lines and wrinkles in the skin. But aside from the natural degradation of collagen, there are certain lifestyle habits that can damage it and speed up the process of ageing, such as eating a lot of sugar and refined carbohydrates, too much exposure to the sun and its harmful UV rays, and smoking. How to increase collagenThe good news is that although our skin naturally loses collagen, there are ways we can help increase collagen production through eating nutrient-rich leafy greens and vegetables such as broccoli and cauliflower that have high levels of Vitamin C and Sulphur – both of which are essential for collagen production. Skin care products designed to boost collagen help too: our Nutri-Define range contains farm-grown Spilanthes Flower and Horseradish Root extracts that naturally promote collagen production in the skin.Read our guide to increasing collagen naturally for more top tips and shop our full Nutri-Define range for collagen boosting skin care.

WAYS TO REDUCE YOUR WATER USAGE

WAYS TO REDUCE YOUR WATER USAGE

Water, an essential to human life. We’ve been hydrating ourselves, cleansing our bodies, watering our plants with it since the beginning of time. Despite its seeming abundance, water supply isn’t an infinite resource. If not managed properly, water shortage is something that may become the norm. The immediate effect of reducing water usage is saving money on water and energy bills. But, when we conserve water, we’re not only reaping individual benefits, the Earth will thank us for it too. Water conservation helps prevent greenhouse gas emissions produced by energy used to clean and distribute water, decreases wastewater treatments at sewerage plants and helps to maintain our water supplies during drought seasons.Water helps keep our bodies healthy and clean, nourishes fruits and vegetables and protects our ecosystem and wildlife. As our global population grows and the Earth becomes drier and warmer, committing to saving water is vital. At Jurlique, in line with our commitment to sustainability, we've reduced our water usage by 25% since 2015 by using rain and recycled water. Conserving water is one part of staying true to our mission, and we encourage you to make it a priority too.Ways to reduce water usageShorter showersYou would be surprised how much water we use daily. A typical shower uses approximately 19 litres per minute! Cutting down your showers from 10 to 5 five minutes will save about 95 litres a day. It’s easy to drift off to la-la land in the shower, so an easy way to stick to a shorter shower is by using a timer, that way you’ll stay focused and be in and out of the shower quicker. The recommended shower time is four minutes or less, so try and aim for that to reduce water usage at home.Flush toilets lessDid you know that the average person flushes the toilet about five times day? One flush of water can use up to 12 litres of water. By using the half flush button when appropriate to do so you can save about 18 litres a day. All the incremental choices really add up! Another way to reduce your toilet flushes is to stop using it to dispose of tissues – throw them in the bin instead.Turn the tap off in the bathroomReduce your water footprint by not leaving the water running when you’re brushing your teeth or cleansing your skin. A simple way to reduce the time you spend cleansing is by using a cleansing oil. By using a cleansing oil, you’ll end up using less water because instead of having to rinse your face with running water, all you need to do is wet a face towel once, use the back of the towel when the front is dirty and then pop into your laundry basket. Our Nourishing Cleansing Oil not only nourishes and cleanses the skin but it’s free of any chemicals or parabens that’ll flow down the drain into our water ways and have a negative impact on the environment.Wash a full loadIt actually takes as much energy and water to wash a full load as it does a half load, especially if you’re not using an appropriate amount of water. So, it’s best to wait until your basket is full before washing your dirty laundry. Can’t wait that long? Then make sure you’re not using excess water to wash your clothes. If your washing machine comes with an energy saving setting, use that as well as using cold water to save more energy. Also, opt for biodegradable laundry detergents to reduce the harmful effect on our waterways.Avoid rinsing before using the dishwasherResist the urge to rinse your utensils before popping them into the dishwasher. Instead, scrape your food scraps as best as you can into the bin (a compost bin would be even better). Much like the washing machine, try and only turn the dishwasher on when you have a full load and use an energy saving setting.Consume local seasonal produceBy eating local seasonal fruits and veggies, you’ll indirectly be helping to conserve water. About five barrels of water is used to create one barrel of petrol. If we all make a commitment to eat locally then that’s less outbound miles on farm trucks coming in from different states. Another way to reduce water usage through food is by cutting down on red meat and eating less water-intensive foods like chicken, chickpeas and lentils. To find out more about the sustainable practices on our Jurlique Farm, read our Sustainability Report.

HOW TO GET SMOOTH BODY SKIN

HOW TO GET SMOOTH BODY SKIN

We focus so much on our facial skin care rituals that we often forget to cater to our body skin too. Baby soft skin can be achievable at any age. You most likely have the foundational steps of body skin care, like showering and applying lotion, down pat but let’s take it from the top. Keep reading for our secrets to achieving smooth body skin.BEFORE THE SHOWERHealthy-looking, smooth body skin starts from the inside out. Do a skin check. If it’s looking dry, or even scaly then your skin barrier is probably not getting enough nutrients and moisture. Our skin’s barrier does a lot of protective work for us, so we need show it some love back.Stay hydrated: The human body is made up of about 60-70% of water, so drinking enough of it is essential to keep your body functioning at a better capacity both internally and externally. The same way you feel parched when you’re thirsty is the same way your skin does.Up your wholefood and superfood intake: We say that the best diet for good skin is made up of a rainbow of fruit, veggies and wholefoods. Superfoods contain omega-3 fatty acids and (great for the keeping the top layer of your skin hydrated) vitamins A, C, E, B and D (great not only for your skin, also hair and nails).Get your sleep in: You might be wondering what sleep has to do with body skin, but it’s actually vital in assisting the repairing process of your skin. While you’re sleeping, your body goes into recovery mode, healing all the daytime damage like UV exposure, and pollution.IN THE SHOWERTemperature: Once you get into the shower, resist the urge to have a water temperature ratio of 90% hot and 10% cold. Hot steamy showers feel amazing, but they’re not great for your skin – especially in the winter months. A higher temperature can strip moisture away from your skin’s natural barrier, leaving you with drier skin in the long run. The ideal temperature should be lukewarm, not too hot, not too cold. If you can’t give up a hot shower, try and minimise your time spent under the water and how many of them you have a week.Exfoliate: Exfoliation is a crucial step to getting smooth body skin. Exfoliation helps improve rough skin texture as it buffs away dead skin cells and build up. Even though our body skin is much more resilient compared to our facial skin, it’s still important to avoid using a harsh exfoliant or over-exfoliating. We recommend using our Smoothing Body Exfoliating Gel, and applying it in the shower before washing with shower gel. It contains a perfectly balanced blend of natural exfoliators such as Walnut Shell powder and cellulose beads to polish away dead surface skin cells, revealing radiant smoother looking skin.Sud up: Not all body washes are created equal. Some body washes are filled with nasties that strip your skin leaving you with a tight, dry feeling. Opt for body washes that naturally cleanse and soften your skin. Indulge in our Softening Shower Gel Rose, a gentle soap-free shower gel that helps restore moisture to the skin, smooth and rebalance dryness. Free from soaps, sulphates, parabens, artificial colours and fragrances, your skin will feel squeaky clean but still hydrated.AFTER THE SHOWERLotion: Don’t wait too long after leaving the shower to apply your body lotion, you want your skin to be slightly damp but not wet. By doing this, your skin will absorb the moisturising benefits ofyour body lotion or body butter more readily. Our Body Lotions are nothing short of a nourishing botanical cocktail for your skin. Rich in Avocado Oil, Shea Butter and Beeswax, they help protect your skin from environmental aggressors and also keep it supple, soft and glowing.Body Oil: Seal in all that moisture with a body oil. Body oils are formulated to replenish and nurture the skin. Rich in essential fatty acids, our Rose Body Oil is lightweight, so your skin won’t be left feeling too greasy. Pour a small amount onto the palms of your hands and apply to the skin with smooth massage strokes. Not only does the delicate scent of Rose smell divine, but your skin will be left nourished and ultra-smooth and soft.Unearth a natural remedy for every body. Our aromatic selection of Shower Gels and Body Lotions are enriched with the restorative powers of Nature.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN IN SUMMER

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN IN SUMMER

There’s nothing quite like summer. Days are endless, the sun seems to make everything better and it’s almost a given that you completely switch off and do nothing but enjoy the warmer weather for a few months. But as happy as we are to pack our coats away for the season, summer can wreak havoc on your skin if you don’t look after it properly. UVA/UVB rays are at their peak during the summer months, and the humidity and hot weather can stimulate your sebaceous glands and leave you with clogged pores – not the easy, low-maintenance summer beauty we all have in mind. To make sure you have the best skin possible this summer and discover our glowing skin care tips below. SIX TIPS FOR SUMMER-READY SKIN1. WEAR SUNSCREENBaz Lurhmann was right when he told everyone to ‘wear sunscreen’. Sunscreens act as a daily shield against harmful UV rays which penetrate your skin when exposed to the sun, as well as help prevent your skin from developing fine lines and wrinkles. Avoid sun damaged skin by wearing a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily (even if it’s cloudy) and reapply every two-three hours. 2. APPLY AN ANTIOXIDANT SERUMIf you’re not already using one, apply an antioxidant serum to your morning skin care routine. Look for one that contains vitamins C and E, which help to neutralise free radicals and strengthen and protect the skin. Try our Herbal Recovery Signature Serum and start adding antioxidant-rich foods to your diet, such as tomatoes, capsicum and strawberries. Woman touching face with hands 3. EXFOLIATEThanks to sweat and sunscreen, your pores can get clogged easily during summer, so it’s important to gently exfoliate two-three times a week. Our Daily Exfoliating Cream gently lifts and removes dead surface skin and impurities, leaving it feeling soft, smooth and polished. 4. DOUBLE CLEANSEOn those nights you’re not exfoliating, go for a double cleanse. The first cleanse will remove oil, sweat, sunscreen and make up, while the second cleanse will deep clean your pores. Try our Nourishing Cleansing Oil, it’s a great hydrating cleanser for dry skin, and leaves your skin feeling softer and smoother. 5. SWITCH TO A LIGHTER MOISTURISERA moisturiser is important every time of year but while you may reach for those richer creams in winter to help nourish dry skin, they can feel too heavy come summer. Opt for a lightweight moisturiser instead, like our Herbal Recovery Signature Moisturising Lotion, that absorbs quickly and easily into the skin while still leaving you feeling hydrated and protected. Bottle of Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist on table with white flowers 6. HYDRATEIn warmer temperatures we tend to lose more water, so drinking water regularly is a must for hydrated skin. A face mist will help to top up your hydration levels throughout the day too, plus they can be a welcome refresher once the temperatures rise. Try keeping a bottle of our Rosewater Balancing Mist or Lavender Hydrating Mist in your bag for easy use.

HOW TO GET RID OF BACNE

HOW TO GET RID OF BACNE

As the weather warms up and we swap our turtlenecks and sweatshirts for flowy dresses and linen cami tops, the last thing you want to do is shy away from baring your back and shoulders when spring and summer approaches. Bacne can be challenging to deal with, but not impossible to tackle. Keep reading to find out how to get rid of bacne. What is Bacne?Bacne is short for ‘back acne’. While an uncomfortable and pesky concern to those suffering, it’s actually very common – similar to the acne experienced on the face, bacne is typically characterised as pimples, black heads and scarring on the back and shoulders. What causes Bacne?Bacne can be caused by an array of things. Sebaceous glands cover the vast majority of our bodies, mostly around areas that have hair follicles. These sebaceous glands secrete an oil like substance called sebum. Sebum naturally protects your skin from moisture loss, but when there is an excess of sebum production coupled with grime and dead skin cells, that’s when your skin starts to break out.How to get rid of Bacne1. Lather upWhen you jump into the shower don’t forgot to pay attention to your back, especially post-work out! The combination of sweat, dirt, oil and bacteria is the perfect environment for bacne. Reach for a body wash that has some active ingredients like salicylic acid. Salicylic acid works by “unplugging” the pores of dead skin cells while simultaneously calming down any breakouts.2. ExfoliateFollowing the theme of banishing dead skin cells, exfoliating is key to tackling bacne. The skin on our backs, shoulders and chest are a lot more tough compared to the delicate skin on our face. So, opting for a granular exfoliant is recommended. Our Smoothing Body Exfoliating Gel is a perfectly balanced blend of natural exfoliators which help to gently polish away dead surface skin cells, revealing fresher, smoother skin. A plus is that it also includes a unique micellar cleansing blend made from plant-based extracts that’ll further remove surface impurities while nurturing the skin. We recommend using the exfoliator in the shower on clean skin, before washing with soap orshower gel.3. Wash your hair firstYou most likely haven’t thought about it, but your hair conditioner could be the cause of your bacne flare ups. Most hair conditioners are filled with silicones and oils that are comedogenic (pore clogging). You wouldn’t wash your body with hair conditioner, but unintentionally that’s what’s happening when you rinse out your hair and the excess product goes down your back. Try washing your hair before you cleanse your body. If you shower first and wash your hair after, you’d be undoing the pore de-gunking work of your body wash and exfoliator.4. Wear loose-fitting clothingWhen you wear tight clothes, what you’re doing is creating a humid environment for your back. In other words, a breeding ground for bacteria. Sweat, mixed in with dirt and dead skin cells is a no-go if you want to get rid of bacne. If you’re a gym-fanatic, opt for fabrics like bamboo which is light, breathable and also absorbs moisture while regulating your body temperature. Another tip is to steer clear from laundry detergents with artificial fragrances and fabric softeners with fillers. Go for skin and Earth friendly laundry products to minimise exacerbating your bacne.5. Use natural body productsAvoid using products that could potentially further irritate your skin. Natural body products contain skin-loving, nourishing ingredients that nurture the health of your skin and are a way to help get rid of bacne naturally. Your skin is your body’s largest organ, and it acts as a protective barrier, so treat it with care. Our Calendula Cream is free from harsh chemicals and rich in pure organic botanicals grown on our farm in South Australia. Gently press into any inflamed skin you have on your back. Packed with potent plant-based antioxidants, your skin will be left feeling comforted and protected.Tip: Avoid popping or picking your bacne, as this could lead to more breakouts and scarring.Rich in pure organic botanicals, and free from harsh chemicals, our luxurious body care range naturally replenishes your skin.

EYE SERUM VS CREAM VS GEL: HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST EYE CARE FOR YOU

EYE SERUM VS CREAM VS GEL: HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST EYE CARE FOR YOU

Whether your concern is fine lines, puffiness or dark circles, the skin around the eyes is often one of the first places to show signs of tiredness or ageing. Because your undereye skin is particularly thin and delicate, it pays to apply products that have been formulated specifically for this area.Unlike choosing a new cleanser or moisturiser, considering our skin ‘type’ – for example oily, combination etc. – isn’t so relevant when it comes to picking out products for use around the eyes. This is because as we age, the skin around the eyes naturally becomes much drier than the skin elsewhere on the face. Therefore, it’s more about personal preference and desired results. With creams, gels and serums to choose from, it can be tricky to know where to begin in your quest for finding the right product. You might be wondering how to cure tired eyes, what the best eye cream for wrinkles is and even whether or not eye serums really work…With lots to consider, find our simple guide to help you navigate the various textures on offer and choose the right eye care product to best suit your needs.Eye CreamEye creams are typically richer in texture and probably the closest in consistency to your daily face moisturiser. If this is your first foray into the world of eye care, an eye cream can be a great, no-nonsense place to start. It can be particularly beneficial to use an eye cream at night, allowing the product to deeply absorb into the skin while you catch up on your beauty sleep. Harnessing the power of potent botanical ingredients, our Herbal Recovery Signature Eye Cream is a nourishing choice. This cream is designed to visibly improve the appearance of the skin around the eyes and minimise wrinkles, and our scientific research has shown that our Yarrow extract in the formula helps protect your skin from collagen breakdown*.Eye GelYou may have already guessed that eye gels have a lighter consistency than creams. Although gel formulas are suitable for use in both the morning and evening, their cooling, energising properties make them a soothing choice for waking up tired peepers first thing. If puffiness is your main concern, our Herbal Recovery Signature Eye Gel could be just the ticket. Charged with farm-grown botanicals and antioxidants to deliver intense moisture, it is ideal for brightening eyes. An ultra-light formula, it will leave the eye area visibly refreshed after a late night whilst also targeting fine lines and other signs of ageing.Eye SerumSo, what does eye serum do? Perhaps the most innovative of the three, eye serums are designed to penetrate deeper into the skin than creams and gels for faster, treatment-focused results. Lovely and light in texture, serums are easily absorbed by the skin, making them perfect for use under makeup. If you’re looking for a gentle yet effective approach, our brand-new Herbal Recovery Signature Eye Serum offers just that. Super silky to apply, it improves the skin’s ability to hold onto all-important moisture, while filling in fine lines as they appear. The addition of yarrow extract works to protect your skin from collagen breakdown.Shop all eye care at Jurlique.*Based on a study of the expressions of collagenase (MMP1) in skin cells treated with Bio-Intrinsic Yarrow against a control vehicle over a period of 24 hours.
