5 WAYS PLANTS CAN BOOST YOUR SKIN HEALTH
One of the best (and easiest) ways to liven up an interior is with the addition of plants. But it’s not just a positive aesthetic effect that plants have – they’ve been proven to boost our mood, promote positivity and, it turns out, being surrounded by all that lush greenery is good for the skin, too (after all, there’s a reason why many skin care products are packed with botanicals). Here are five ways that plants can help you to maintain healthy, glowing skin. INDOOR PLANTS HYDRATE SKIN Indoor plants increase the moisture in the air, which means they help to combat dry, thirsty skin and reduce symptoms like flakiness (especially helpful in winter, when the contrast between the cold air and indoor heating can quickly dry out skin). The best indoor plants for this are those with large canopies that require lots of water to survive, such as Peace Lily and Ivy. PLANTS PURIFY THE AIR – AND YOUR SKIN Houseplants capture dust and particles from the air and can reduce the amount of pollution in the air. Thanks to their purifying qualities, plants also reduce our exposure to indoor toxins that can cause premature ageing, acne, dryness and dullness, as when our toxic burden is too big, the skin struggles to flush out toxins as quickly as it should. For the best air-purifying plants, go for the Snake Plant, Dracena or Fiddle Leaf Fig. ALOE VERA CAN SOOTHE AND MOISTURISE SKIN Aloe Vera has long been used for its soothing properties. That’s because it’s rich in vitamins A, C and E, making it a natural moisturiser – plus, it can also help protect the skin from free radicals. Keep an Aloe Vera plant at home and carefully crack open the leaves to scoop out the gel and apply it directly to the skin whenever you need it (bonus: this is a low-maintenance plant and only needs watering once every three weeks). Or for skin care that already harnesses the power of Aloe Vera, try our Aloe Vera Hydrating Mist. SOME HERBS CAN ENHANCE YOUR SKIN HEALTH Herbs aren’t just great for cooking – some may be full of skin-loving ingredients, too. Powerful herbs include Mint, which contains salicylic acid to clear pores, Sage, which is full of antioxidants to help clear congestion and mop up excess oil and Chamomile, an anti-inflammatory that can alleviate irritation caused by skin sensitivity. Try crushing up the fresh herbs and adding them to your bath. ROSE IS PACKED WITH BEAUTY BENEFITS Rose is our signature botanical for a reason. It hydrates, soothes and tones the skin for a more radiant complexion, and rosewater can help to tone the skin while maintaining its pH and oil balance. Not just that, but Rose oil hydrates and rebalances skin, strengthens its natural barrier and helps protect it from environmental aggressors. Reap the benefits by having a Rose bush indoors or out, and enhance the results with rose-infused skin care products such as Rosewater Balancing Mist and Rare Rose Serum.Plants: they’re pretty powerful. Fill your home with your favourites and use high-performing botanicals on your skin too. Shop our full range here.

Face scrubs: some people love them, some people avoid them. Are face scrubs good for your skin? Do they work? How often should you use them – and which one is best for your skin concern? It can be a minefield and sometimes feel like it’s one extra step in an already lengthy skin care ritual. But, used correctly, face scrubs can revitalise your skin and restore your natural glow. Read on for our ultimate guide to exfoliating. WHY YOU SHOULD USE A FACE SCRUB 1. It improves skin tone and texture. Every day, dead skin cells, dirt and oil build up on the surface of your skin, which can leave it feeling and looking dull and dry. A gentle exfoliator removes this buildup, revealing newer, fresher, smoother and healthier-looking skin.2. It unclogs pores. Our pores can get clogged from a buildup of sebum (naturally occurring oil in our skin), as well as dirt and grime from pollution, sweat and general everyday life – which can lead to the appearance of spots. It’s important to give your face a thorough clean with a face scrub once or twice a week to remove this buildup.3. It helps fade spots and scars. Exfoliants break down dry and dead skin while smoothing texture, which means the skin appears to look more uniform over time. Any appearance of acne scars, dark spots or hyperpigmentation will soon be reduced.4. It helps your skin care absorb faster. If your skin has a thick layer of dead skin cells, your serum and moisturiser will have to work harder to penetrate the layers of the skin they’re trying to reach. By removing these dead skin cells, you’re helping these products work to their best abilities.5. It helps fight signs of ageing. Typically, our skin regenerates every 25-30 days but as we get older, this process starts to slow down – meaning we need to give it a little boost. Face scrubs mimic this rejuvenation process, giving skin a new lease of life. How often should you exfoliate? Exfoliating too often could have a damaging effect on the skin. We recommend using a face scrub once or twice a week to reap the full benefits of a face scrub without damaging the skin. Our Daily Exfoliating Cream is mild, creamy and non-granular, making it our best exfoliating face scrub for sensitive skin. If signs of ageing are your main skin concern, go for the Purely Age-Defying Refining Treatment, which gently lifts dry skin and impurities to reveal softer, smoother and more even-looking skin.Forget harsh scrubs in favour of gentle formulas that nourish the skin. Shop our range here. FAQs What does an exfoliating scrub do? An exfoliating scrub removes dull surface cells to reveal smoother, more radiant skin. It also helps serums and moisturisers absorb better. A gentle, natural exfoliant for the face refines texture and restores a healthy glow. Is exfoliation really necessary? Yes. While cleansing lifts impurities, exfoliation clears away deeper build-up like oil and dead skin cells. Regular use supports clarity, smoothness, and even tone. How often should I exfoliate? Most skin types benefit from exfoliating one to three times weekly. Sensitive or dry skin may need less frequent use. Always follow with hydration to maintain comfort. Explore our face collection to complement your routine. What happens if you don’t exfoliate? Without exfoliation, dead skin can build up, which can cause dullness and uneven tone. This can also reduce the effectiveness of your skincare products and lead to congestion. Including a face scrub in your ritual can help keep skin clear and refined. How to tell if your skin needs exfoliation? Skin that feels rough, looks tired, or absorbs products unevenly often needs gentle exfoliation. These are signs of slower cell turnover that can be improved with a mild scrub. What are the advantages of exfoliating? The benefits of face exfoliation include smoother texture, improved radiance, and better absorption of other products. The benefits of body exfoliation are similar, softer, brighter, and more supple skin. At what age should you start exfoliating? Gentle exfoliation can begin in your early 20s when natural renewal starts to slow. Consistent care helps maintain radiant, balanced skin. For personalised guidance, reach out through contact.

Read moreTHE 5 COMMANDMENTS FOR CLEAR SKIN
We all want clear, radiant skin but sometimes it’s easier said than done. The condition of your skin comes down to a combination of genetics and lifestyle, but there are a few steps you can take to clear up your complexion. To do it the natural way, follow these clear skin tips: CLEANSE MORNING & NIGHT Cleansing is the essential first step of a clear skin routine. Even if you’re tired, don’t skip this step or use a wipe or any old cleanser – go for a gentle one that won’t strip the skin or upset its pH balance. In the morning, cleanse to refresh the skin and lift any sweat or dirt that accumulated overnight. In the evening, the best thing to do is double cleanse to ensure you get rid of everything that’s built up throughout the day – first, use a cleansing oil such as our Nourishing Cleansing Oil to remove makeup, dirt and grime, and then use a regular cleanser such as our Radiant Skin Foaming Cleanser to deeply cleanse your skin. STICK TO A SKIN CARE RITUAL After cleansing, use one of our toning facial mists to soothe and balance your skin. Follow up with our Activating Water Essence+ to boost hydration, then apply a serum such as our Herbal Recovery Bi-Phase Serum to help hydrate and restore your skin. Seal in hydration with a nourishing moisturiser or facial oil – our Calendula Face Oil is suitable for all skin types and can be applied directly to the face to deeply nourish and balance skin. New to face oils? Read our Everything You Need to Know About Face Oils for everything you need to know. STOP TOUCHING YOUR FACE We all touch our faces throughout the day – whether it’s resting our face in our hands, picking blemishes or unconsciously touching areas of the face. But in doing so, bacteria can be transferred from your hands to your face, which can lead to congested skin. If you have spots, use a spot treatment instead of popping them and make an effort to minimise how many times you touch your face. The same principle applies to your phone, too – sanitise the screen with an antibacterial wipe once a day and use earbuds when making calls wherever possible. CHOOSE SKIN CARE PRODUCTS THAT SUIT YOUR SKIN CONCERN Your skin concern should dictate the products you use as you’ll have different needs accordingly - if you use the right products, they’ll absorb into your skin and work more effectively (read our Understanding Your Skin Type if you’re unsure). If you have acne-prone skin, be careful not to over-treat it and only apply the recommended amount of product as per the packaging. LOOK AT YOUR DIET AND LIFESTYLE It’s not just skin care products – you can take on a few diet and lifestyle habits for clear skin, too. Drink at least 2L of water a day and enjoy foods rich in omega-3s and vitamins A, B and C (read our guide to skin-loving wholefoods). Exercise regularly to boost circulation, help reduce stress and give skin a healthy flush, and try to 5 ways to combat stressed-out skin (our stress hormones increase oil production, so you’re more likely to break out when you’re stressed). Get the clear complexion you’ve always wanted by taking care of your skin from the inside out. Shop our natural-based face skin care, eye care, lip care, hand careand body care here to help clear congestion and boost radiance, naturally. FAQs HOW TO GET CLEAR SKIN NATURALLY? Stick to a consistent routine using products for clear skin. Start with a simple regimen – cleansing, toning, moisturising and sunscreen for the daytime. Your skin may also benefit from a few healthy lifestyle habits, such as getting enough sleep, drinking plenty of water, eating a balanced diet, exercising regularly and managing stress. And what to avoid? You guessed it right – alcohol, sugar and processed foods. HOW TO CLEAR SKIN OVERNIGHT? While there is no magic wand for making unwanted acne or blemish disappear, there are certain things you can do to wake up to clear skin overnight. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Follow with a hydrating toner. Apply a nutrient-rich serum. Use a hydrating mask before bed to replenish and soften skin. Lock in moisture with a nourishing night cream or face oil. Get enough sleep – there’s a reason it’s called beauty sleep. IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE 100% CLEAR SKIN? Having completely '100% clear' skin is not realistically possible for most people due togenetics and environmental factors. But with a consistent skincare routine and healthylifestyle, you can definitely improve your skin and get a clearer complexion. WHAT IS CLEAR SKIN? When we talk about clear skin, we typically mean skin with an even tone and smoothtexture that reflects light without being shiny. Clear skin is mostly free from blemishes, with barely visible pores and little to no imperfections. WHY WON'T MY SKIN CLEAR? While we all want a clear face, it's normal to have uneven tone and texture. Genetics, skincare routine, and lifestyle can all influence your skin’s appearance. Clogged pores, amajor culprit of uneven skin, occur when sebum mixes with dead skin cells and blocksyour pores. These clogged pores can trap bacteria and develop into bumps, whiteheadsor blackheads
Read moreEVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SENSITIVE SKIN
Sensitive skin is incredibly common, and easily triggered by the environment, allergies and the clothes you wear. To treat your sensitive skin, it’s important to use calming skin care products and steer clear of aggressors that might set it off. From the skin care products to use to what to avoid, here are our sensitive skin care tips.WHAT CAUSES SKIN SENSITIVITY?Sensitivity can be caused by many different things including genetics, ageing, allergies, hormonal imbalances or medications that increase sensitivity. The environment and change in the elements (such as heat, humidity, wind and snow) can also cause sensitivity, along with poor diet, drinking too much alcohol, stress, dehydration and use of harsh cosmetics. Some fabrics, like wool, can also irritate skin, so choose clothes made with natural fibres, such as cotton and bamboo, and buy a laundry detergent that’s formulated for sensitive skin.THE SYMPTOMS OF SKIN SENSITIVITYThe tell-tale signs of sensitive skin include dryness, tightness, redness and blotchiness. Irritation – such as itchiness, visible rashes, tingling or burning – and flaky skin and broken veins on the nose and cheeks can also be signs that you have sensitive skin.HOW TO MANAGE AND TREAT SENSITIVE SKINSensitive skin is easily irritated and prone to drying. To soothe skin and prevent the symptoms from flaring up, use specially formulated natural products that restore the skin’s protective barrier and calm and rebalance skin. At Jurlique, the hero ingredient in our sensitive skin range is Calendula, a powerful botanical known for its calming and comforting properties.Calendula Redness Rescue Calming Mist is our best facial mist for dry, sensitive skin. Use it before applying Calendula Redness Rescue Restorative Treatment Serum and Calendula Redness Rescue Soothing Moisturising Cream in your skin care ritual, and be aware of any triggers that irritate your skin.WHAT TO AVOID IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE SKINSensitive skin can flare up easily – and prevention is better than cure. Avoid products with common irritants like artificial colours, fragrances and sulphates. Steer clear of harsh exfoliants, which can aggravate the skin (choose something gentle like our Daily Exfoliating Cream instead) and don’t use makeup, skin care, medication or topical treatments that are past their expiry date.EAT ANTI-INFLAMMATORY FOODSSensitivity is a form of inflammation, so add anti-inflammatory foods to your diet such as leafy greens, broccoli, turmeric, ginger, spinach, nuts and avocado to avoid flare ups. Avoid spicy foods and hot drinks, which can cause redness, and cut down on caffeine, alcohol and processed sugar. Try and calm the mind and body too, by practising yoga or meditation. If you’re experiencing skin sensitivity, treat yourself to a skin care ritual that’s soothing and calming. Shop our specialised range here.

What is a cleansing oil? Should I use one and why? Are they suitable for oily skin? Many of us may have these questions in mind when we first hear about cleansing oils. You may be skeptical to try it especially when you have combination, oily or acne-prone skin. But we can tell you that a facial cleansing oil is not as scary as we think! Here, we answer all your questions about this cult skin care trend. CLEANSING OIL VS CLEANSERS In general, there are two types of cleansers on the market: water-based and oil-based cleansers.Water-based cleansers, such as foaming gels, foaming lotions and micellar water, cleanse our faces based on the concept of rinsing away the particles from the outermost layer of skin. Think of a foam cleanser as your regular old soap but specifically formulated for your face. It is ideal to remove oils and makeup for all skin types, but if you’re using a foam cleanser and finding it a little bit too harsh on your skin, you should consider switching to cleansing oils.On the other hand, micellar water is a gentler type of water-based cleanser. Non-soap and water soluble, it can collect the dirt and makeup on the skin without making your skin feel dry. This is an easy and convenient face cleansing option as you don’t need to rinse with water afterwards, however it is recommended to cleanse your face with another type of cleanser after micellar water in order to keep all the clogged dirt at bay.Cleansing oil is an oil-based cleanser that works on an ‘oil attracts oil’ basis - think ‘good’ oils dissolving the ‘bad’ oils that have accumulated on the skin’s surface which are makeup, excess oil and debris. However, unlike the traditional foam cleansers which could dry your face, cleansing oils can balance your skin’s natural oils and keep your skin nourished and moisturised. It is gentle on your face and suitable for all skin types (even people with oily or acne-prone skin!)Try our Nourishing Cleansing Oil – this lightweight and silky oil is enriched with smoothing Black Elderflower extract, and transforms into a milk when emulsified with water. It removes makeup including waterproof mascara, heavy or mineral based makeup, sunscreen and primers effectively and nourishes the complexion to improve suppleness that makes your skin feels smoother, softer and looks more radiant. Once you try it, you will fall in love with the scent like we have!Optional: If you would like to try adopting the double cleanse method in your skin care ritual, a cleansing oil will be your best product to use in the first step of the double cleanse, followed by a water-based cleanser. BENEFITS OF CLEANSING OILS The main benefits of using a cleansing oil are:• Gently removes makeup• Lifts dirt, impurities and excess oil from the skin for a deep cleanse• Clears pores• Balances the skin’s oil production• Delivers antioxidants and vitamins to the skin (our Nourishing Cleansing Oil contains natural seed oils and botanicals that helps nourish and smooth to reveal softer, brighter and younger-looking skin)• Leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth and hydrated• Boosts circulation and gives skin a healthy glow by massaging the oil into skinHOW TO OIL CLEANSE FACE AND HOW OFTEN Massage 2-3 pumps of cleansing oil onto dry skin including eye area. Add warm water to emulsify and then rinse thoroughly. Use morning and night as first step of your skin care ritual. If irritation occurs, rinse thoroughly.Bonus tip: To exfoliate dead skin cells, remove the oil with a warm washcloth 2-3 times a week.SO, SHOULD YOU USE ONE? We would say: choose your cleanser based on your personal preference to textures and makeup habits. For instance, if you wear heavy or waterproof makeup daily, it is recommended to use a cleansing oil. If you have dry skin, it may be better to skip foam cleanser and use micellar water or gentle cleansing oil instead. For oily, combination and acne-prone skin, don’t be afraid to use cleansing oil as giving your skin the ‘good’ oil will help balance your skin’s natural oil level. FAQs What are the benefits of oil cleansing? Cleansing oils gently remove makeup, sunscreen, and impurities while maintaining skin’s natural moisture. The main oil cleansing benefits include softer texture, smoother skin, and a balanced complexion. Explore our cleansers to find one that suits your routine. What are the disadvantages of oil cleansing? When used excessively or not rinsed well, oil residue can occasionally leave a different feel on the skin compared to a tradntional textured cleanser, oil residue can occasionally lead to congestion. Always rinse thoroughly or follow with a mild second cleanse. Choosing the right oil-based cleanser helps avoid heaviness or residue. How to use cleansing oil? Start with dry hands and face. Warm a few drops between your palms, then massage gently over your skin to dissolve makeup and impurities. Add a little water to emulsify, turning the oil into a soft milk before rinsing. This gentle oil cleansing method leaves skin fresh, clean, and comfortable. Follow with a mist or essence. How often should I oil cleanse? Most skin types benefit from cleansing oil once a day, ideally in the evening. It removes daily build-up. Combination or oily skin may prefer alternating with a foaming cleanser. Is cleansing oil good for everyday use? Yes. Using oil to clean the face daily can leave the skin to feel smooth and balanced. With the right formula, it’s suitable for all skin types. Continue your ritual with a serum and treatment for best results. For tailored advice, connect through contact or explore our face collection.

‘Tis the season of Christmas parties, yearly drinks with friends, colleagues, family members and acquaintances - and New Year’s Eve celebrations. All fun and games until…you notice the effect on your skin. Too many late nights and glasses of Champagne can take their toll on your face and can cause your skin to start looking dry, dull (not exactly party ready) and in need of serious brightening. Here’s our tried and tested method to brighten dull, dry skin after a night out. HOW ALCOHOL AFFECTS SKINOne of the biggest affects that alcohol can have on the body is dehydration, which manifests on your skin as dryness and a dull, ruddy tone. As nutritionist Jairo Rodriguez told Vogue, alcohol takes all the fluid out of the skin, which can lead to more wrinkles, and it also inflames the tissue – causing redness in the skin. This is exacerbated by the lack of sleep you experience after a night out, with sleep deprivation affecting collagen growth, skin hydration and skin texture. Glasses of champagne on metal tray TIPS FOR BRIGHTENING DULL SKIN1. Slept in your makeup? We’ve all been there. Use a cream cleanser to gently remove makeup and surface debris. Our Replenishing Cleansing Lotion is gentle and replenishing, plus it helps calm the skin if you’re feeling a bit of sensitivity.2. After cleansing, spritz a facial mist (our Purely White Skin Brightening Mist helps to hydrate and restore glowing skin) and increase skin hydration further with Activating Water Essence.3. Apply a serum and restore skin moisture with a rich cream such as our Moisture Replenishing Day Cream or a face oil, and brighten the eye area with Purely White Skin Brightening Eye Correcting Cream. Eyes still not looking their best? Read our guide to get rid of tired-looking eyes.4. To brighten skin, avoid artificial whitening ingredients in favour of natural ingredients (such as Kakadu Plum Extract, which can be found in our Purely White range) which reduce discolouration and provide vital nourishment to your skin.5. For a natural way to brighten skin, hydrate from within. Aim to drink 2L of eater every day, especially after a night out.6. Catch up on the recommended 7-8 hours of sleep a night as soon as possible.7. Prevention is better than damage control. Try and keep up with your skin care ritual morning and night to nourish your skin, helping you to bounce back quicker after a big night. You’re engaged, the wedding countdown is on and you’re deep in the planning stages – what dress to wear, what menu to have, what song you’ll dance your first dance to, and where you’ll be jetting off to for that all-important honeymoon. One of the last things on your list is probably your skin care routine – that is, of course, until the night before when you’re desperate to get rid of any blemishes or brighten up your complexion. Skin cells regenerate every 28 days, so plan out your skin care regime month-by-month for the best results (and don’t forget to sneak in self-care each day). To help you have clear skin for your wedding day, discover our tips below.SIX MONTHS BEFOREPlanning a wedding can be stressful, so in the lead up it’s important to take time to relax and unwind. Aside from being harmful to your mental health, stress can have negative impacts on your skin, causing you to break out or skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis to flare up. Try getting a yoga class in once a week or do a few minutes of meditation each night before you go to bed.Six months before is also the time to start on your pre-wedding skin care routine. See a dermatologist or go for a facial to address any pressing skin care concerns (book in to see one of our Beauty Experts at a Jurlique Spa) and at home, start introducing an exfoliator into your routine regularly to remove dead skin cells, followed by a radiance-boosting serum. We recommend using our Daily Exfoliating Cream once or twice a week, followed by Herbal Recovery Signature Serum and a nourishing moisturiser, such as Herbal Recovery Signature Moisturising Cream.THREE MONTHS BEFOREThree months before is the time to look at your diet. Start cutting back on your alcohol intake and introduce more water, wholefoods and vegetables into your diet, and try swapping out one of your daily coffees for a green juice instead. For even more of a hydration boost, use our Rosewater Balancing Mist in your daily skincare routine (it’s also great for calming down and refreshing your skin throughout the day). And it’s not just about the face – for healthy skin head-to-toe, dry body brush and use a body moisturiser daily.ONE WEEK BEFOREThe week before your wedding, avoid salty foods and carbohydrates where possible. They can cause your body to retain water, leading to a puffy face and eyes (not what you want on the big day). To ensure you have fresh, clear skin, you should avoid sugar too. Use an intensely nourishing moisturiser at night to give skin extra hydration such as Herbal Recovery Signature Moisturising Cream and for any blemishes that crop up, apply Purely White Skin Brightening Spot Treatment.THE BIG DAYOn the morning of your wedding, apply a face mask to lock in hydration (our Nurturing Mask helps soften and soothe the skin) and relax! Use your regular skin care products so you’re not introducing anything new that could cause irritation and wait for your skin care to fully absorb before applying makeup. Finally, enjoy your day!
Read moreHOW TO CARE FOR DRY, SUN-DAMAGED SKIN
Most of us love the feel of warm sun on our skin but the reality is, exposure to the sun and harmful UVA/UVB rays can have damaging effects on the skin and is one of the primary causes of premature ageing. As much as we try to protect our skin during summer, we’re all human and slip up now and then, so no doubt you’ve suffered some degree of sun damage. If you’re at that stage, read on for our guide to help repair your skin and protect it in future. HOW SUN EXPOSURE AFFECTS THE SKINExposure to some sunlight can be beneficial, thanks to skin using sunlight to help manufacture vitamin D, which is important for bone health. But UV (or ultraviolet) rays also penetrate the outer skin layers and pass into the deeper layers, where they can damage or kill skin cells, with those with fair skin more susceptible to sun damage. Up to 80% of fine lines and wrinkles are the result of UV damage and exposure to the sun can dry out the skin. UV also causes skin sagging, blotchiness and roughness. At worst, frequent and prolonged exposure to UV rays over the years can cause skin cancer.THE SIGNS OF SUN DAMAGESun damage can be manifested in the appearance of dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles. To minimise this appearance and prevent further damage, focus on hydrating and protecting the skin inside and out and follow our after-sun care tips below.HOW TO TREAT DRY, SUN-DAMAGED SKIN THE NATURAL WAY 1. Use a broad-spectrum UV Defence Daily Lotion SPF 50+, even when it’s overcast. Sunscreens act as a daily shield against harmful UV rays which penetrate your skin when exposed to the sun, as well as help prevent your skin from developing fine lines and wrinkles. To increase sun protection, cover up with a hat, sunglasses and lightweight clothing.2. Keep skin hydrated with nourishing essences, serums, moisturisers and hand creams. After cleansing, apply our Activating Water Essence+ to rejuvenate skin and provide long-lasting hydration and apply an antioxidant serum such as our Herbal Recovery Bi-Phase Serum to boost skin’s radiance and protect it from environmental aggressors. The skin around the eyes is delicate and prone to the signs of sun damage so dab on an eye cream or gel suited to your skin’s needs daily.3. Increase your intake of antioxidant-rich foods such as blueberries, strawberries, kale and artichokes. Antioxidants can help fight free radicals, maintain healthy skin and prevent the appearance of wrinkles, so will give your skin the boost it needs if you’re experiencing sun damage.4. Get a skin check once a year with your local GP. Your doctor will perform a full body examination, looking for abnormal skin lesions or moles with unusual colours or shapes. For more summer skin care tips, read our guide to looking after your skin during the hotter months and shop our full range of natural-based skin care.
