To understand the strength of the Kakadu Plum, we have to go back to its origins.
The Kakadu National Park where this superfruit was first found is not just a place of enormous ecological and biological diversity. It’s also home to some of the toughest climatic conditions in the world.
Exposure to near-constant and extremely harsh sunlight forced the Kakadu Plum to develop a highly efficient self‐defence system in order to survive. This system is made up of a cocktail of powerful antioxidant molecules, which protect the fruit against UV – and make it the nutrient-rich botanical powerhouse it is today.
Kakadu Plum
The Kakadu Plum must be harvested from the wild in some of the most inaccessible areas of north-western Australia. Because of this, the fruits tend to be handpicked by Aboriginal Australians who care for the land, and draw on generations of traditional knowledge when it comes to finding and utilising this unique fruit.
Aboriginal people have lived within the Kakadu National Park and its surrounding areas for tens of thousands of years. They traditionally relied on the fruit as a vital source of nutrient-rich food, particularly during long treks or hunting trips.
Today, we draw on all the powers of this Australian superfruit in our Purely White range, so we can deliver the most efficacious skin-brightening results.
